Questions

Cross-border freight, answered.

The questions we are asked most often about what we move, where we run, and what it takes to clear a border.

What does Tauna Logistics do?

Tauna Logistics is a South African road freight operator based in Centurion, Gauteng. We run cross-border full truckload (FTL) transport from South Africa into Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, carrying bulk cargo, heavy machinery, and construction materials. We also provide heavy equipment haulage on lowbed trailers and secure warehousing.

Which countries does Tauna Logistics deliver to?

South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, and the DRC. Our regular corridors run from Centurion to Harare, Gaborone, Lusaka, Beira, and Lubumbashi, with onward destinations including Francistown, Bulawayo, Ndola, Kitwe, and Maputo.

Do you carry part loads or groupage?

No. We run full truckload only. If your consignment does not fill a truck we will tell you directly rather than quote a consolidation service we do not operate.

How long does cross-border freight take from South Africa?

It depends on the corridor and the border. Gaborone is typically 1 to 2 days, Harare 2 to 4 days, Lusaka and Beira 4 to 6 days, and Lubumbashi 7 to 10 days. Clearance time, not driving time, is the main variable on every one of these lanes.

What documents do I need for cross-border freight?

At minimum a commercial invoice, a packing list, and a bill of entry. Transit bonds apply where goods cross a third country, and certificates of origin and import permits apply to some goods and destinations. We confirm the exact set for your consignment before the truck loads.

Where is Tauna Logistics based?

168 Louise Street, Centurion 0157, Gauteng, South Africa. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00.

How do I get a freight quote?

Send us the collection point, destination, cargo type, mass, and dimensions through the contact form or on WhatsApp. We respond with a route recommendation, an indicative transit range, and the documentation required, normally within one business day.
